Over the summer we worked on many fun projects and racked up a lot of frequent flier miles. The more we work with clients outside of the traditional network TV world, the more we get to return to the freedom of creativity that inspired us to pursue TV and Film from the start. We still work on broadcast TV projects too. Lauren recently was a Producer/Shooter on “The Job Interview” on CNBC, which launched this week to rave reviews.
Congrats to “Maggie the Cow” the project that is part of Oprah’s “Super Soul Sunday”. They beat us out for the Emmy. I guess if you have to lose, losing to Oprah isn’t so bad. It’s an honor to be Nominated. 😉
Proud to announce “The American Dream Project”, a Netflix web series that Lauren directed, was Nominated for an Emmy!!! Very exciting news. We can’t stop smiling. Check it out on Netflix or Amazon. 🙂
Check our an episode of the series Lauren is directing for People Magazine. Great story about a woman who is literally building a village in Detroit, MI. Inspiring story and an episode to be proud to share.
Here are a few links to other episodes
2017 looks to be a busy one.
The first 4 episodes of “American Doers” went live in Nov/Dec 2016. This is the series Lauren is Directing with Happy Marshall for People Magazine. The next episode launches Jan 6th. There are 12 episodes in production. So far we are exceeding expectations with more viewers than expected. Check it out
Our documentary “The Other Boys of Summer” looks to have news to share soon. Lots of exciting things happening and we look forward to updating you shortly. If you want to get involved or find out more, drop us an email.
Working with Happy Marshall Productions directing a new web series called “American Doers”. Each episode features an everyday person who is willing to work hard to go after their dreams. These people are super inspiring. They don’t just talk about or dream about things, they work hard and make it a reality. Excited to share more in the coming weeks. Series launches in October on People.com.
Lots of exciting things happening. Recently interviewed Mamie “Peanut” Johnson, the only WOMAN to pitch in the Negro Leagues. After the All American Girls Professional Baseball League (A League of their Own) wouldn’t give her a try out because she was black, she played 3 seasons for the Indianapolis Clowns. While playing professional baseball with Indianapolis she had the honor of getting some pitching tips from the likes of Satchel Paige.
Been busy with meetings about distribution and sponsorship for “The Other Boys of Summer”. Looking forward to sharing details soon.
In other news, Baby Makes 3, a series I directed for PBS, is airing through out the country. I’ve been shooting a documentary for A&E that comes out in the Fall. I’m keeping busy with smaller projects for interesting startups and new brands. Always on the look out for new connections and fun projects.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer.
